Happy Trails, Dick
After 5 years, Dick Vermeil has retired from the Kansas City Chiefs. Vermeil was a class act all the way and truthfully, I am sorry to see him go. I will miss his patented Squinty Face on the sidelines. Didn't matter what the call, Vermeil would respond with his squinty face. Deserved penalty flag? Slightly squinty Squinty Face. Undeserved penalty flag? More squinty Squinty Face. Bad spot on a down? Really squinty Squinty Face. Post game press conference? Crying Squinty Face.
Sigh. Now I'll have to retire my 'I love Dick' t-shirt...not because I don't love dick, but because without Dick it just seems dirty. ;) Guess now I'll have to break out the 'You can't beat our Johnsons' shirt.

its only appropriate that the chiefs go after a REAL coach in Herm Edwards...one that doesn't cry after every game. just kidding. Vermeil is a good guy. you think they will release priest holmes or trade him?
ps- you are the only reason i watch the chiefs games....hoping that i'll see you on TV with a "I love carl spackler" sign.

I'll be sad to see him go, but I think we'll release him. I can't see putting Johnson back on the bench as a backup, just doesn't make sense. Holmes is a, what, 8 year veteran with an injury that could be career ending? Let's stick with the younger, new guy. But you can be damn sure Johnson will be signing a new contract before next year.
Tell you what, I'll make a sign and have someone take a pic next season. Or you can just come to KC to catch a game from the 50. Think of the taunting it would give you over Tim. :)
Dick as a great coach. But an old Dick so it is time he retires I think. I'm sure the Chiefs will get a great hot young coach that can still allow you to wear your tshirts! :)
WHY KC....WHY?!?!?!? do your chiefs have to after Herm! its looking like a done deal. to make matters worse, i read online lastnight that when the J-E-T-S jets jets jets played the chiefs this year that Carl Peterson had dinner with Herm the night before the game. if thats not tampering then i don't know what is. the only thing that will make me feel better is a picture of your breasts....uh, wait, did i just type that. that was my inside voices coming out again.
